Lumin’s ongoing growth journey
Last year, Lumin Wealth reached a milestone of £1bn in assets under administration – a figure which has continued to grow into 2026. Today, the firm currently manages £1.6bn in assets under management (AUM).
Founded in 2010, Lumin has experienced over a decade of uninterrupted growth, as part of VZ Group, Switzerland’s leading financial services provider. Since 2021, this backing has established greater stability, long-term thinking and accelerated growth.
In 2025/26 alone, our total headcount increased from 92 to 120, including an increase in fee-earning advisers from 25 to 35. Recruitment has more recently focused around an 18-to-24-month Adviser Academy, training staff from outside the financial sector.
Behind every financial plan we create for clients, is a dedicated pairing of a Financial Consultant and a Paraplanner. Working together, they get to know each client one-to-one. This ensures the advice we give is built around the individual goals and circumstances of the client. It’s never a one-size-fits-all approach – every situation is different.
Growing with purpose in a changing landscape
Being recognised as Citywire New Model Adviser’s Top 100 financial advice firms, also comes at a time when the financial planning landscape is shifting rapidly. Last month’s Autumn Budget brought higher tax rates on rental and savings income, while pensions are set to fall within the Inheritance Tax (IHT) net from April 2027.
For many of our clients navigating these complexities, this raises the real questions about how to draw income, pass on wealth, and plan for the years ahead. Our growth means our team can respond quickly and turn complex changes into clear, practical guidance.
We recently hosted a ‘Budget breakdown’ webinar off the back of the Chancellor’s announcements, providing a clear analysis of the changes made and how they could affect our clients and wider audience. Our bi-weekly podcast, Financial Illumination, Knowledge Hub, Lumin News and monthly newsletters respond in the same way, offering timely, practical insight on everything from Inheritance Tax and retirement planning, down to investments and all other financial planning considerations.
