Our small but mighty data team of 3 has built a cutting-edge platform on AWS, delivering everything from real-time dashboards to internal web applications. The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Full-Stack Engineer to join as our 4th team member and own the delivery of critical web applications. This is a hands-on role where you’ll build tools that directly impact adviser productivity, operational efficiency, and client experience. You’ll work on everything from internal trading tools to client presentation platforms, with full ownership from concept to production.
This isn’t about maintaining legacy systems. You’ll be building greenfield applications using a modern TypeScript stack that enables our growth strategy.
What You’ll Do
- Design, build and deploy full-stack web applications using React, TypeScript and Node.js
- Own multiple projects simultaneously, from initial requirements through to production deployment
- Work directly with advisers and operations teams to understand needs and deliver solutions
- Build responsive, intuitive frontends that non-technical users love
- Develop robust APIs and backend services, integrated with internal and third-party systems
- Deploy containerised applications on AWS EKS with robust CI/CD pipelines
- Balance “perfect” with “shipped”, knowing when good enough is exactly right
- Contribute to technical decisions as we scale
Essential Requirements
- 3+ years commercial experience building production web applications with TypeScript and React
- Proficient in Node.js backend development
- Solid SQL skills and experience working with relational databases
- Experience translating ambiguous business requirements into working software
- Track record of delivering projects on aggressive timelines
- Genuinely autonomous: comfortable owning problems end-to-end with minimal supervision
- A strong team player who collaborates well and supports colleagues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Desirable Experience
- Financial services or wealth management background
- Hands-on experience with our core stack (see below)
- Exposure to AWS, Docker, Terraform and CI/CD pipelines
